| AWWA holds debate competition | | | Early Times Reporter

As part of AWWA (Army Wives Welfare Association) week celebrations from 18 Aug 2008 to 23 Aug 2008 an inter formation debate completion for the children of Army personnel’s was organized by the Tiger Division. The debate competition on “Are the parents right when they impose strictness in behavior and conduct of children? Can these conflict situations be avoided?” also marked the closing ceremony of the week long celebrations by the Army wives welfare association.
The debate competition was inaugurated by Dr (Mrs) Aruna Chowdhary, President AWWA, Tiger Division at Tiger auditorium. The aim of the debate competition was to promote the public speaking talents of the children of Army personnels and to inculcate confidence in them. Major General DL Chowdhary, GOC, Tiger Division and various formation commanders of the division attended the debate competition.
Miss Swati & Mr Mangal Pandey bagged the 1st prizes for FOR and AGAINST the motion respectively. The prizes were distributed by Dr (Mrs) Aruna Chowdhary, President AWWA, Tiger Division. |
