Voicing their concern over the discrimination meted out to the educated unemployed youth of Jammu region, the over aged unemployed youth have urged the Sangarsh Samiti, spearheading the agitation over the SASB land row, to take up forcefully with the Governor’s 4- member panel the gross discrimination being meted out to the qualified youth of Jammu region. The newly formed Jammu and migrant over aged unemployed youth front in a meeting chaired by its president Pawan Kumar Gupta (Bhaderwahi) has alleged that 80 percent educated youth were unemployed in Jammu region as against 20 per cent in Kashmir Valley. He said similar was the case with regard to the promotion and appointments. Giving details, he said only 5 per cent of employees of Jammu region were being promoted against 95 per cent in Kashmir and the similar was the case with the appointments. The Front, while extending its full support to the agitation launched by the Sangarsh Samiti, appreciated its bold and correct step for forcefully presenting the demands before the Governor’s panel and the central government including restoration of land to the Shrine Board and the discrimination with Jammu region during the past 60 years. Condemning the role of Mehbooba Mufti of PDP and the NC President Omar Abdullah, the Front appealed the Prime Minister to ban such parties for their anti-India tirade and fanning communal trouble in the sensitive Jammu and Kashmir State apart from freezing their accounts. The meeting, among others, was also attended by Ravinder Kotwal, Umesh Padha, Anoop Kumar, Mohan Lal Pandit, Manjeet Singh Sodi, Javid Ahmed Bangroo, Vinod Pawa, Sushma Devi, Vinod Kumar, Pardeep Kumar and Pradminkrishan. |
