Early times Report

JAMMU, Oct 17: Amid Coronavirus pandemic, lockdown and apparent stage wise unlocks have been announced by the Government and recently unlock 5.0 was announced ordering precautionary measures and guidelines for the people; all of these have been imposed and adhered to but still the people are harassed and humiliated in wake of Covid-19 Lakhanpur border.
This was stated by Vice President DCC Jammu Urban, Raj Kumar Goyal while raising serious concerns over the problems being faced by the people due to unnecessary restrictions and harassing of residents at Lakhanpur.
“Even after the government has lifted the restriction on travel and movement of people across states/UTs, the J&K administration has not lifted Coronavirus restriction in these areas due to which people feel caged in,” Goyal said and added that thousands of people are stopped n areas across Lakhanpur border,” Kumar said. Unnecessary restrictions have apparently affected the business and trade since they are being halted for hours together. Despite Centre Government directions, the state government has not allowing free movement of people, he added.
Goyal said that at other states, there is no restriction on the movement of transport even the government has ‘not kept’ mandatory the Covid-19 testing for inter- state travel, only in case you have symptoms.
The authorities are asking the Covid-19 test and other unnecessary requirements hence put down the people and waste their time.
