Leadership of MFJ offers reception to Hindu Brethren on Janamashtami

On the eve of Janamashtami, the leadership of Jammu Muslim Federation, greeted the Hindu brethren on behalf of all the Muslims of reception to the Shobha Yatra in Rajinder Bazar where the leaders of ShobhaYatra was profusely garlanded and flower petals were showered in abundance on the processionists. Special arrangements for flavoured drinking water was also made reciprocating to the goodwill gesture the people participating in the procession raised slogans Hindu, Muslim, Sikh and Christian unity and brotherhood. Hundreds of participants hugged and embraced Muslim brothers. Hundred of Muslims were present on the occasion and showered flower petals on the jhanki raising slogans of brotherhood and unity. The team of Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Jammu headed by its president Ram Sahai was present on the occasion with the leaders of the Muslim Federation, Jammu.
Ashok Khajuria, state president BJP, personally visited the spot and reciprocated the goodwill gesture by expressing his gratitude towards the Muslim brothers. He further highlighted the importance of Hindu Muslim unity in the longer interest of the state. The prominent leaders of social organizations also remained present with MFJ to strengthen the bonds of Hindu Muslim unity. Thakur Diwakar Singh president, Dharamath Trust expressed his gratitude to MFJ for this goodwill gesture particularly at a time hen the state is passing through a crucial stage.
Meanwhile in a meeting while reviewing the situation in Poonch and Mendar MFJ has strongly condemned these incidents and has charged the administration of total failure to control the situation. The administration should have assessed the consequences of allowing such a procession when the atmosphere is not conducive at all. The MFJ demands immediate steps should be taken to restore law and order situation and govt. must assess the loss and compensate the victim at earliest.
MFJ has appealed to both the communities to maintain age old communal harmony and brotherhood for which Poonch is known. MFJ has also appealed to the majority Muslims not to be provoked and ensure the protection of minority community and its property at all cost. The saner elements of both communities should come out unitedly at this stage and reveal the traditional relations of brotherhood and communal harmony.
The MFJ welcomes the dialog process and appeals to both the sides to sort out land issue without further delay in view of continuing loss and hardship of the people of the state. The meting was presided by Mr. Abdul Majeed, President MFJ, attended by the office bearers and prominent citizens.
