| Cong: Mehbooba should be reasonable in placing demands | | | New Delhi | Aug 25
The Congress today said that PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti should have been more reasonable and careful in placing her demands before the government. "We hope the leader of the PDP is more reasonable in her demands," said Congress spokesman Manish Tewari. Congress was reacting to the statement of the PDP leader yesterday in which she said that her party will not support any unilateral agreement reached between the Shri Amarnath Sangarsh Samiti and the Jammu and Kashmir government and also demanded opening of the road to Muzzafarabad for trade. "It should be the endeavour of all right thinking people to resolve the issue at the earliest," said Tewari, adding, "the samiti in Jammu is holding negotiations with the government and all nationalist forces are supporting it". He said none of the parties have gained anything by polarising the issue. |
