Jammu, Oct 19: Hundreds of aspirants of Cluster University led by Atul Sudan (Vice President JJSF) and Anshu Sharma (President MAM College) gathered at Cluster University office Jammu and held a massive protest against Cluster university administration demanding open admissions for all.
Students alleged the University of Not maintaining transparency in the admissions lists of university.

He said that rather than increasing the intake capacity of Colleges under Cluster University administration is reducing the intake capacity which is very unfortunate and shameful. He said that it is due to the non-serious attitude of University Administration that during this COVID pandemic they have made students hold protest demonstrations for admissions. He said that education is the right of every student and university should not play with the careers of thousands of students as it can result in a mass agitation against the University.
Atul Sudan addressing the students said that University should be transparent in the whole admission process. He alleges that the University is not displaying vacant seat matrix after each list. He further said that Cluster university’s online system is not displaying cut off of various streams in different colleges neither the administration have displayed the same on the University notice board which is raising serious questions on the integrity of the university. He demanded that seat Matrix and cut-off merit should be displayed on the website as well as on notice board to maintain transparency in admissions.
He further said that University should immediately increase the seats in streams which are most demanding and all students should be given admissions. Sahil Choudary (President GGM Science College) gave an ultimatum of two days to the university to release the next list and also demanded a display of cutoff merit of all.
Meanwhile Dean Academic Affairs of Cluster University while talking to the protesting students assured them that a fourth list of around 1600 students will be issued within one to two days.
