Rehana Batul listens to public issues at Ramban

Ramban, Oct 19: Administrative Secretary, Department of Tribal Affairs, Rehana Batool who is also the incharge secretary to District Ramban today listened to the public issues at Ramban during “My Town My Pride (MTMP)” focused on Mission delivering development and good governance.
She advised the councillors to avail the advantage from “My Town My Pride” programmes as it’s a massive information collection programme.
Use this initiative to strengthen Urban Local Self-Governance and own the programme to serve the people with responsive, accountable and participatory governance, Secretary, said to officers.
She said that the government has launched a JK Health card scheme to provide health facilities to every family upto 5 Lakh.
ADC, Ashok Sharma, Chief Agriculture Officer, Farooq Ahmed, DDM, NABARD, Arushi Sharma, Vice President, MC Ramban, Khalid Wani, Councillors and general public attended the programme.
She directed the education department to start community as well as virtual classes to facilitate the student community.
She also directed the officers of all departments to improve the public service delivery system to provide benefits of all social as well as development schemes to the public at their doorstep.
She asked the district administration to resolve all their genuine issues on priority basis and assured the people that their rest of issue including completion of four laning project, restoration of 4G Internet service, 1% electricity to Ramban areas from Baglihar, opening of schools, water supply schemes, proper functioning of Trauma Hospital.
She impressed upon the officers as well as councilors to work with close coordination to expedite the development process in their respective MCs.
Various counselors and individuals also apprised the secretary about their issues and problems faced by them old age pensions, augmentation of power infrastructure, repair of hand pumps, proper wages to labourers engaged in four laning project, financial as well as social facilities for middle class families, Ramban would be taken up with higher authorities on the demand of public. Earlier, ADC appraised the chair about various development activities going on in the district.
