| Woman dies, 6 injured in road mishap | | | Early Times Reporter

A woman died and six including two sub-Inspectors of Armed police were wounded, one of them critically, when a passenger vehicle veered off the road and fell into a gorge near Hasti Morh, on Doda-Kishtwar road, about 8 kilo-meters from here.
Official sources told news Agency of Kashmir that a mini-bus (3167/JK02E) on its way to Kishtwar from Thathri skidded off the road near here, this evening.
One woman identified as Surekha Kumari wife of Satish Kumar died on the spot while 6 others were wounded in the mishap.
Police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to district Hospital, where one of the injured was said in critical condition.
The injured have been identified as Manoj Kumar, 15 son of Rajinder Prakash, Sandeep Kumar, 18 son of Des Raj both residents of Saroor, Jagdesh Raj son of Naik Ram of Trigam, Basni Lal son of Ram Lal resident of Palmar both Sub Inspector Armed Police and Satish Kumar son of Om Raj of Thathri.
The driver of the mini-bus was missing and police suspect that he might have escaped from the spot. |
