PULWAMA, Oct 19: “My Town My Pride is a way towards building public trust and strengthening relationship with people”, stated Secretary, Jal Shakti Department, M Raju while addressing the public during ‘My Town My Pride’ programme in Pulwama.
He said that My Town My Pride is aimed to improve service delivery and redress the public grievances within the shortest possible time and achieve cent percent saturation of beneficiary oriented schemes. He added that the purpose behind this programme is to strengthen the roots of good governance in J&K and empower the common people.
During the visit, Raju inspected the stalls installed by different departments and enquired about the grievances redressal mechanism being adopted to satisfy public needs and aspirations.
Secretary also distributed sports kits among the school children besides giving away income and domicile certificates to beneficiaries. He also handed over Baby Kits to newly born girl children under BBBP besides distributing sanction letters under Ladli Beti Scheme and wheel chairs, hearing aids, walking sticks among the persons with disabilities.
M Raju also interacted with hundreds of people who visited the town hall and listened to their issues and grievances.
M Raju gave patient hearing to all the delegations and assured them that all issues will be settled in minimum possible time.
M Raju was accompanied by Distrct Development Commissioner, Pulwama, Dr Rahgav Langer and SSP Pulwama besides other district officers.
