The 43rd Army Wives Welfare Association Day celebration was spread from 01 Aug to 25 Aug 08 at Jammu, Ratnuchak, Pathankot, Mamoon, Basoli and Yol to commemorate the spirit and innate strength of "INDIAN WOMEN". The "Nari Shakti" symbolizes the power of the weaker gender of Indian Society, but in its own status it forms the inescapable part of our every day life. Speaking on the occasion, Mrs Rupa Sharma, President "RISING STAR ARMY WIVES WELFARE ASSOCIATION" said we understand the need to care for their girl child. The falling gender ratio is alarming and the common mass should also be made aware of the need of the hour. The "RISING STAR CORPS" have been the pilots of number of women oriented social projects. On the occasion a run for the noble cause "Social Empowerment of Women in Indian Society" was organized at Yol Cantonment which was attended by all the ladies of the station with lot of zeal and enthusiasm. Later in the day, the President inaugurated "PROJECT NANHI PARI" for the entire corps zone. She praised the Indian Women who were able to establish a niche for themselves in all spheres of life. "PROJECT NANHI PARI" will be run as an interactive workshop in the entire Corps Zone, after all it is true that "NARI SHAKTI" is the one without which one cannot imagine a life in this world. |
