| Sikh organizations distribute relief material | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Aug 25
Various Sikh Organizations of J&K on the directions of Mahant Manjit Singh of Shiromani Akali Dal Nangali Sahib, Poonch under the chairmanship of S. Sudershan Singh Wazir Ex. President J&K state Gurdwara Prabandhak Board distributed the food and other eatable essential commodities to the Gujjar community at Mata Gujri Teacher Training Institute, Sunjwan, Jammu. The Gujjar community is migrated from different villages of Jammu and Kathua districts due to the fear at present situation. The Sikh representatives addressed to them and stressed upon to maintain the communal harmony and don’t believe on rumors. They said that the situation which has arisen due to the strike in the two months has forced the Gujjar community to leave their houses. They further said and hoped that the situation will be normal in the coming days and both the state and the centre government should take steps to solve the present problems and the land issue of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board should be solved amicably. The Sikh leaders also expressed their full sympathy those who killed in the J&K during this land issue and also ready to help those peoples who are suffering since two months agitation, the release added. |
