First aid training programme organized

Jammu, Oct 23: First-Aid training programme was conducted by Dr. Shelly Mahajan (M.D. Anaesthesia) Medical Officer Red Cross from 20th October 2020 to 23rd October, 2020 at Red Cross Bhawan, Kachi Chawni.
The training was imparted observing strictly all the SOP norms for COVID-19 like compulsory Mask wearing, social distancing of participants while sitting and effective sanitization procedure. The group was of 12 participants keeping in view the new revised guidelines. Lectures were given regarding First-Aid Kit handling for unconscious, fainted and heart-attack patients. Emphasis was laid on bleeding, wound arrangement, burns, and fractures First-Aid. Practical demonstration depicted bandages, transportation of injured patients and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Medical emergency like choking was also briefed. The training was assisted by Kanchan Devi (Sr. Pharmacist). The Exam was conducted by Dr. Kavita Nijon and Mr. Joginder Kumar (Pharmacist). The trainings were conducted under the close supervision of Vinod Malhotra, Dinesh Gupta, Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region where he made sure that all the norms and SOPs are being followed.
