| Congress stands by public sentiments: Charak | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Aug 26
People sentiment should be fully honoured and the land at Baltal be restored to Amarnath Shrine Board at an earliest, said MLC and senior congress leader Th. Gulchain Singh Charak at a press meet held here today. Charak said, Jammu region has always been a hub of nationalist forces and defeated the nefarious design of enemies who tried there best to divide the people during 1947, 65 and 71 but it was unity that weaken all the efforts and anti-national forces. He said, the present agitation launched by the people of the region is not against any sect, or religion etc, but the demand it to restore land to shrine board without any delay. He said agitators with tri-colour in hand, demands restoration of land, earlier given to shrine board for the facilities of pilgrims. He said agitation of Jammu people is to totally different as compare to people led by separatist across the Jawahar Tunnel. He said the recent happenings in Poonch, Kishtwar is a matter of great concern and should be condemned by one all. He urged upon the governor the culprits behind should be identified and a case should be identified and a case should be registered against them without naming any party he asked them to refrain in issuing provocation statements, which only add fuel to fire. He appealed the people don't give air to rumours, but strength the age old bond communal harmony and brotherhood all cost. Referring the statement of Mangat Ram Sharma, he said he fully support peoples sentiment and adds if people want recall of governor Cong has nor reservation. |
