Peoples Revolutionary Movement has accused the state administration of conspiracy to engineer migration of minorities from Muslim majority districts of Kishtwar, Doda, Rajouri and Poonch by giving a free hand to separatists and anti-national elements in these areas.
Addressing a press conference at Vijaypur here today, PRM president Rajinder Jamwal said that it seems that present dispensation under Governor NN Vohra is facilitating the Wajahat Habibullah plan of aligning the Muslim majority districts of Jammu region with Kashmir valley by leaving the minorities in these districts at the mercy of god and allowing all the administrative machinery to be sued in this direction.
Jamwal said that the immunity with which the anti-national and separatist elemtns sponsored by Hurriet Conference, PDP and NC has been allowed to loot and plunder the properties of minorities in Poonch and Kishtwar districts and the way in which minorities are being threatened in Doda, Rajouri and Ramban districts, are self explanatory of the Governor NN Vohra's complicity in the whole situation.
He said that on the one hand those who are accused of pelting stones are being detained under draconian Public Safety Act in Jammu region while those indulging in acts of terror, inciting communal passions, indulging in loot, arson and plunder are being given police protection and left scot free to indulge in another act to achieve Governor's goal of religious cleansing of Muslim majority districts of Jammu region.
He warned the state administration against any such acts which have the potential of engulfing the whole of country in a communal frenzy. Jamwal also strongly condemned the senior Congress leaders Mangat Ram Sharma, Gulchain Singh Charak and Mula Ram for defending Governor NN Vohra and justifying the Congress government's decision to revoke the order of land transfer to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board(SASB).
