| AWWA week concludes with 'run for fun' | | | Early Times Reporter

Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) stands for empowerment of women and welfare of families of all ranks. The AWWA week which commenced on August 18 and conclude here today encompassed multifarious programmes and interactive sessions on empowerment of girl child through projects 'Nanhi Pari' and 'Masoom' etc. Various lectures on preventive therapy, diet for girl child and debate on
conflict management between parents and children and a variety of competitions like Healthy Baby, Fancy Dress, Cooking, Rangoli, Mehandi and Hair Style, Good House Keeping were also conducted at Kaluchak, Jammu during the AWWA Week Celebration.
The week long celebrations concluded with a 'Run for Fun' program organized mainly for children and families of Kaluchak Military Station, today to imbibe them with spirit of good health and happiness. The run which was flagged off by Pratima Saini, President
AWWA, Tiger Artillery Brigade, had a total of 310 children and families participating in the run and was witnessed and cheered by more than four hundred families. It was a significant and memorable experience for the children and families commemorating the AWWA Day reminding them of the motto 'Asha, Vishwas and Astha'. |
