Adbi Kunj the front ranking multilingual literary organization of the state in a meeting reviewed the situation emerging over the revocation of land transfer order to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board. Speakers while expressing deep concern over the complete paralysis of the law and order machinery. Stated that a precarious situation had been created by the use of brutal and indiscriminate force against peaceful agitators, members of press media as well as innocent citizens. They were also of the view that continued bandhs and curfews had adversely affected the normal life in entire province and people have been facing tremendous hardships due to complete disruption of essential services and expressed their dismay over the attempts being made by certain anti-national forces and vested interests to give a communal tinge to the ongoing agitation which is a matter of concern for all members of literary and intellectual class. A resolution was adopted in the meeting calling upon the state administration understand the religious sentiments of the people in right perspective and issue orders or revocation of the land transfer order to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board immediately for speedy restoration of law and order. The resolution also made a strong demand to the state govt. for providing adequate grant in aid to the families of the people who lost their lives in the current agitation and also liberal financial assistance to the seriously injured ones also to shopkeepers, transporters and small business establishments who suffered a lot. |
