Security drawbacks cause for growing infiltration: Gupta

Jammu | Aug 27

Appreciating the decision of the Amarnath Sangarsh Samiti to postpone the maha rally here today in view of the situation created by the strike of infiltrators in outskirts of Jammu, the former union minister and senior BJP leader Prof Chaman Lal Gupta has demanded a highest level inquiry into the incidents of continued bids of infiltration and flaws in the security measures. The alarming incident of Kanachak speaks high about the security draw backs, especially when there were reports about the amassing of highly trained and motivated ultras close to the Line of Control and across the Jammu border, he added.
'Such happenings could not be possible without weaknesses in the security arrangements, more so the black sheep playing the dubious role', Prof Gupta said and emphasized for immediate identification of such elements operating from within and outside the administration.
Lashing upon the Congress led UPA dispensation at the centre and denigrating the constitutional post of the Governor to make it highly controversial, the BJP leader observed that their in-competency could be gauged well from the fact that on a small issue of land transfer to
the SASB, they have not only lost their coalition in a disgraceful manner but have also put the entire state on fire and even after the expiry of two months, they are still groping in the dark to sort out the issue although the situation is worsening with each day.
He pointed out that enemy agents well known for their dubious links are operating with impunity in spreading canards to vitiate the communal harmony along with the blaring of poisonous and misleading propaganda from Pak held areas across the LOC but the authorities are failing to frustrate the enemy designs and still continue to talk much about confidence building measures instead of asking Pakistan that cross border terror and other such like activities and peace measures cannot work together, he added.
