While entire political spectrum is shocked over incident of terror in Jammu, the Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangharsh Samiti has earned accolades across the board for its mature behaviour to call off today’s proposed rally at the Parade Grounds. The killings of innocent civilians and keeping hostage's women and children in a house at Chinore by the Pak-militants since this morning, the Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangarsh Samiti (SAYSS) postponed today's 'Maha Rally'. The decision of the SAYSS has been hailed by the state administration, political parties and intellectuals of the region and appreciated the role of SAYSS leaders who took the bold decision of postponing the rally for the time being a gave full support to administration to dead with the militants, where the agitation was on its peak. Asking for a anonymity a senior government functionary said, the decision taken by the Sangarsh Samiti shows their love for the country and supported the state administration to deal with the militants who killed a couple of innocent civilians at Chinore this morning. Senior National Conference (NC) leader and provincial president of NC condemned the brutal killing of the people and keeping innocent small children and women as hostage. He said the steps taken by Pak sponsored militants shows that they (militants) have no regard for the human beings. He urged upon the administration that the militants should not be allowed to escape from the encounter place. Hailing the wise step taken by the leaders of the Sangarsh Samiti, the Senior Congress leaders and MLC, Gulchian Singh Charak said, since Pakistan cause into existence its policy always has been to take unnecessary cudgels with India, while on the other hand India warns it's all round development. Ashok Khajuria, state president of BJP, while talking to 'Early Times, said the step taken by the leaders of the 'Sangarsh Samiti' in postponing the mass rally schedule for the today shows the love of Sangarsh Samiti workers for the country. He said deferring the agitation when it is on its peak, is not a ordinary decision and added 'I salute them', on this. Darakshan Andarbi of Socialist Democratic Party (SDP) while talking to this reporter, on telephone said, the decision taken by the Sangarsh Samiti is very wise and allows state administration to tackle with the militants freely. She urged upon the government to hand over the land to Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangarsh Samiti soon. Sr. leader of JKNPP and former minister Harsh Dev Singh said, the leaders of Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangarsh Samiti deserve congratulation in postponing today 'Maha Rally', on account of militants attack on the civilian's at Chinore. He placed the govt to restore land to the shrine board without any more time, so that the agitation comes to halt. The Retd. Brigadier Suchet Singh also hails the decision of Sangarsh Samiti and urged upon the government both at the state centre and to affective measures to address the brewing agitation and find out amicable solution to Shri Amarnath land row. |
