| BAJ appreciates role of Army in rescuing hostages | | | Early Times Reporter

Bar Association Jammu has appreciated the role of Army, under the guidance of Major General DL Choudhary, in rescuing the innocent persons held hostage by the Pak-trained militants.
In the meeting held under the chairmanship of its President Adv BS Salathia, the BAJ members unanimously condemned the cowardly Pakistani militants in killing innocent civilians including woman, children including a two year old infant. The act of the militants is a grave violation of Human Rights, the BJP asked the Central Government to take-up the matter with the Pakistan Government to avoid gruesome killings of innocent citizens in future.
To mobilize the public opinion, the BAJ addressed meetings at Gangyal and Bakshi Nagar in support of the demands of restoration of land to the Amarnath Shrine Board.
Bar Association, however, maintained that the issue of discrimination with the Jammu region at the hands of Kashmir centric politicians and the Centre’s appeasement policy towards these leaders has gained momentum during the ongoing mass agitation. JNF |
