| NC relieved over safe passage of Chinore hostages | | | Early Times Reporter

J&K National Conference has expressed satisfaction over the safe release of hostages at Chinore in a successful encounter in which all the militants have been eliminated , said National Conference leaders in a joint statement issued here today.
Appreciating the role of the Army and the Police for saving the lives of the innocent citizens, who were made hostages at Chinore, they also appreciated the role of the Jammuties for remaining united to face the challenge.
Reiterating their appeal to the people to rise to the occasion and unitedly fight such challenges from across the border, the NC leaders said ‘we should frustrate the evil designs of such forces, which are bent upon disturbing communal fiber of the region’.
They also appealed to the government to take early steps to reach at a decision with the Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangarsh Samiti so that peace is restored early.
The signatories to the statement were Ajay Sadhotra, Rattan Lal Gupta, Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Surjeet Singh Slathia, Tarlochan Singh Wazir, and Devender Singh Rana. |
