| SVO detects fraud in ITI certificates, seizes record | | | Srinagar, September 8: The sleuths of State Vigilance Organisation have detected a fraud in issuance of fake certificate at Industrial Training Institute Uri and sized the relevant record from the concerned officials. Informed sources while disclosing this said that around 400 faker certificates have been issued to plumbers and electricians at Industrial Training Institute Lagama Uri. While as number of ITI trained persons does not exceed 60 in Uri. Many candidates having managed to get fake ITI certificates applied recently for jobs in Public Health Engineering Department. More over 800 youth of quake hit areas were imparted training in the trades of carpentry and automobile engineering and they were promised supply of required equipments free of cost after completing the training. The equipments purchased by Deputy Director Technical Education was not allegedly distributed fairly among deserving youth, but was purchased in open market on exorbitant rates. A written complaint was lodged before SHO Uri Shams-ud-Din Parray following which he sealed the ITI and informed authorities of State Vigilance Organisation.
