| 6 vehicles seized for illegal mining, transportation of construction material | | | Early Times Report
SAMBA, Nov 7: In continuation to its drive against illegal mining and illegal transportation of construction material, Samba Police seized 6 vehicles including 5 Dumpers and a Tractor across the district, which were being used for illegal transportation of the construction material.
A Police team of PP Supwal while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area intercepted two Dumpers bearing Regd No JK02AG-0788 and JK02CB-4363 at Badheri for illegal transportation of construction material (Sand).
Police team of PP Rakh Amb-Talli while performing vehicle checking duty at naka Pangdour, intercepted a Dumper bearing Regd No JK21E-0234 for illegal transportation of construction material (Sand).
Police team of PS Vijaypur seized a Dumper bearing Regd No JK0CD-2649 at naka Rakh Barotian, Vijaypur for illegal transportation of construction material (Sand).
In the jurisdictional area of PP Mansar, a Dumper bearing Regd No JK21G-0372 was intercepted at naka Mansar for illegal transportation of construction material (Sand).
Similarly in the jurisdictional area of PP Utterbehni, a Tractor without Regd No was intercepted for illegal mining of construction material (Sand) at Riverbed near Sarmal.
All the 6 vehicles intercepted by police were seized on spot and cases entrusted to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action. |
