Interactive programme for Doubling Farmers' Income organised

JAMMU, Nov 7: Deptt. Of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Jammu Sub Division MARH conducted Fortnightly Training cum Interactive Programme in two sessions i.e. Morning Session & Post Noon Session at Auditorium, Krishi Bhawan Complex Talab Tillo Jammu which was revived after a long gap due to COVID-19 pandemic. The program was graced by Agriculture Economist Dr. K. K. Sharma, CAO Jammu Dr. A. S. Reen, SMS (DL) Dr. R. S. Jamwal, SDAO MARH Dr. Ashwani Jojra, SMS's (SDL) Dr. Vijay Johar, Dr. Ranjit Kour and I/c Plant Health Clinic Dr. Arun Khajuria. Agri. Extension Officer's Dr. Nirmal Parkash, Dr Vandana Kotwal, Dr. Tirath Singh, Dr Vikram Katryal & I/c AEO Dr. Bhumika Bandral of all the five Zones falling within Sub Division MARH viz. Mishriwalla, Bhalwal, Pounichak, Marh & Mandal with their respective Panchayat Officers also attended the Fortnightly Training Programme. All the participants were very enthusiastic regarding this interactive session cum training program. They expressed their commitment to work with more zeal & strive hard for the welfare of farming community.
First session was presided over by Agri. Economist Dr. K. K. Sharma while the second session was presided by CAO JAMMU Dr. A.S. Reen. Dr. K. K. Sharma also conveyed the message of Director Agriculture & FW JAMMU Inder Jeet for all the field functionaries to work for the upliftment of farming community in true letter & spirit.
On this occasion progressive farmer S. Tajinder Singh while addressing the participants, hailed the Deptt. Of Agriculture & FW for their role in managing all the agricultural activities smoothly & efficiently even during the nationwide lock down without whom farming community would have suffered a lot.
The proceedings of both the sessions were managed by SMS (SDL) Dr. Vijay Johar.
