Inquiry ordered against Medical Officer DH Bandipora for remaining absent during duty hours

BANDIPORA, Nov 7: An inquiry has been ordered against a Medical Officer of District Hospital Bandipora for allegedly remaining absent from duty in order to perform his private clinic on Friday. As per the reports, the inquiry in this regard has been issued by Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora. While in this regard a three member’s team has been constituted. Reports further said that a three member’s team headed by additional district development commissioner Bandipora Afsar Ali Khan will look into the matter. According to the order the team shall also comprised of Mehraj Wani, (KAS), Functional Manager DIC and block medical officer Bandipora, Dr Masarat Iqbal Wani. The order further states, “Complaint was received today on 06.11.2020 that Dr Inam, Medical officer DH Bandipora was absent from duties. It was also reported that he was working in a private clinic on 06.11.2020 and patients visiting District hospital were asked to attend private clinic/Nursing home/Hospital.” As per the order, the 3 member team has been asked to enquire into the conduct of Medical Officer and furnish enquiry report with a recommendation for further necessary action. An official said that the inquiry will be completed in a week’s time. He added that such nuisance won’t be tolerated as such doctors have taken things for granted and in future if any doctor is found indulging in such activities will face the same action.
