The community kitchens, started by Amarnath Sangarsh Samiti activists and other social organizations, are doing a big contribution for the survival of ongoing agitation as the shops and other business establishments are closed for the last 62 days and there is no work for poor and labour class who are dependent upon day to day earnings. Community kitchens came as a ray of hope for the poor who otherwise could have faced starvation in the absence of work. These community kitchens started by locals in different localities of city are providing two time meals to the needy and the poor. These kitchens are run on donations. Ram Murti, a labourer from Bilaspur said that such community kitchens are gift of God for us and others facing hardships due to ongoing strike for the last two months. Talking to Early Times, Dinesh, who is running free langer in the main bazaar for last more than one month, said that ‘we are feeling contentment and satisfaction by running such langers as all is given by Bhole Shanker’ He added that service of needy and poor is service to God which they are doing and continue to do so till the land of Baba is returned by government |
