| BJP abandoned people with problems: Goyal | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 8: Rajkumar Goyal, Vice President DCC Jammu Urban lashed out at J&K BJP leadership for abandoning people with their problems being related to the basic amenities during its nightmarish rule, saying the promises made during 2014 Parliamentary and Assembly elections proved just hoax. While addressing a meeting of party workers here today, Goyal said that the poor-sections of the society are suffering a lot due to mis-rule of BJP Government at the Centre and state BJP leadership.
Senior Congress leader accused the BJP Government of befooling the people of J&K by its false claims of development. He said that BJP did nothing for the people except generating passions on religious and regional lines. He said the people have been living miserable lives during the past more than six years, with nobody addressing their problems.
Goyal also criticized the government for taking arbitrary decisions in adding and deducting Panchayats in the constituencies for the election of District Development Council elections. He said that present dispensation is turning a blind eye towards the apprehensions and concerns of people of the State, especially Jammu region.
Goyal said that the government in a bid to demonstrate its powers and authority had resorted to such undemocratic moves which was not in tune with the concept of liberal democracy.
"The Congress party would fight for the genuine rights of the people in Jammu and Kashmir who have undergone numerous sufferings during the past six years," Goyal said and lashed out at BJP for its utter failure to respect the mandate of the people of Jammu. |
