SAMBA, Nov 8: In its ongoing efforts to weed out social crime from the society, Samba Police has arrested 7 gamblers in the jurisdiction of PS Bari Brahmana and recovered stake money amounting to Rs 20,270 from their possession.
Acting on a specific information about gambling in their jurisdiction, a Police Party of PS Bari Brahmana raided the gambling spot at industrial area Bari Brahmana and arrested 07 gamblers along with stake money of Rs 20,270 and a set of playing cards.
The gamblers have been identified as Sher Bahadur S/o Prem Bahadur, Motey Gurung S/o Dhan Lal Gurung, Inder Bahadur S/o Jeet Bahadur, Ram Bahadur S/o Tara Bahadur, Makhan Bahadur S/o Dhan Lal Bahadur, Lakh Bahadur S/o Prem Bahadur and Prem Bahadur S/o Man Bahadur. All are residents of Nepal, who are at present residing at Industrial area Bari Brahmana.
Taking cognizance into the matter, all the gamblers were booked under section 13 of Gambling Act at PS Bari Brahmana. |
