Udhampur, Nov 8: Senior Citizens Club Udhampur (SCCU) today as a part of Diwali festive celebration and to aware the society to take care of the Divyang, an important segment of the society, organized a get together with the inmates of the Divyang Ashram in the premise of the Club. By managing the family birthday of grandson of one of the members of the club Kuldeep Kumar with Divyang, his family members joined the occasion and held ‘Birthday Cake’ ceremony in the Club premises among Divyangs. This way the club has attempted to flash a message in the society that as a prime responsibility, we should take time to celebrate the occasions with the most deserving segment of the society so that they should not feel isolated. As a part of the awareness, Club members distributed warm wearing to the inmates of the Ashram. President of the Club Mahadeep Singh Jamwal appealed to the society that they must visit the Divyang Ashram, Old age Homes and Bal Ashrams on the occasion of ensuing Diwali to express their solidarity with this segment of the society. |
