Ashok Malhotra inaugurates Eid Diwali Milan Cricket Championship

Jammu, Nov 8: Ashok Malhotra President Indian Cricket Association inaugurated the 8th Eid Diwali Milan Cricket Championship through virtual mode in presence of Ashvinder Koul & Rajesh Gill Members of ICA, Arjun Choudhary Managing Partner KC Sports Club, Qaiser Mirja, Rakesh Koul, Sudhir Singh, Rajesh Bakshi, Avinash Kumar and Saleem Ur Rehman.
The Championship is being organized by Senior Cricketers of J&K /Members of ICA in association with KC Sports Club and supported by Horizon Club, Game Changer Sports Club, Samar Sports Club, Vridhi Royals and JK Service Station Rajouri at KC Sports Club Cricket Ground Jammu.
The slogan of the 8th Eid Diwali Milan Cricket Championship is “ let’s celebrate all festivals together and Let’s strive for communal harmony and oneness”.
The executive members of the organizing committee of the event includes Rajesh Gill, Shahid Parvez, Ashvinder Koul, Arjun Choudhary, Ashish Singh, Avinash Kumar, Sudhir Singh, Rakesh Koul, Saleem Ur Rehman, Madan Mohan and Sanjeev Sharma.
In the inauguration function Ashok Malhotra President Indian Cricket Association was the Chief Guest, whereas Shahid Parvez & Ashvinder Koul Senior Cricketers of J&K and Members of ICA were the Guests of Honour.
While speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest Ashok Malhotra said that he feel happy to see the members of ICA from UT of Jammu & Kashmir are doing great job for the welfare and promotion of J&K Cricketers at Jammu by providing them platforms in terms of conducting cricket tournaments at district level.
Earlier in the first Match KC Sports defeated Media Eleven by 7 wickets.
Batting first Media Eleven scored 71 runs for the loss of all wickets with Vivek Suri 21 and Faheem Tak 19 runs. From the bowling side Vivek took 4 wickets, Akash Choudhary took 2 wickets and Tanmay also took 2 wickets for his team.
In reply KC Sports club chased the target in 9 overs by losing only 3 wickets thus won the match by 7 wickets. Musaif scored 33 runs,Vicky Raina made 29 runs. From the bowling side Rajesh took 2 wickets while Faheem took 1 wicket. Vivek Sharma of KC Sports club declared as Man of the Match.
In second match between player Game Changer XI and Vridhi Club
Batting First Game Changer made 133 for the loss of 9 wickets and in replay Vridhi Royals also made 133 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
So it was the tie between the two teams and the super was not played because of bad light. The organizers decided to make decision for this match after completion of other league match of this pool.
The matches were officiated by Ashok Kumar, Sanju and Sabestian.
The proceedings of the Inaugural function were conducted by Rajesh bakshi CPO and the vote of thanks was presented by Sudhir Singh member organizing committee.
