Saini starts blacktopping work of 8-km road worth Rs 2.80 crore

R S PURA, Nov 10: Sarpanch of Panchayat Gandali of Block RS Pura, Gurdeep Singh Saini started the blacktopping work of about 8 km long road from village Kul to Pandoria here on Tuesday.
While addressing the gathering, Gurdeep Singh Saini, who is also the General Secretary of All Jammu Kashmir Panchayat Conference, said that this was the long pending demand of the area which has been fulfilled today and the completion of the construction work of the road will give great relief to the people of the area. Saini informed that the aforesaid road will be completed with an estimated cost of Rs 2.80 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Sadak Gram Yojana. People of the three assembly constituencies will benefit from the completion of road construction work, he added.
Saini thanked the Modi Government at the Centre and said that due to the work being done by the government for the development of rural areas, the blacktopping work of this road has started today. He said that the people of his Panchayat have ever contributed a lot in the construction of the road because they met the officials concerned many times under his chairmanship over this problem.
The Sarpanch said that steps are being constantly taken for the development and betterment of the panchayat and the promises made to the people are also being fulfilled. He said that all the roads under Panchayat have been paved and the work of those who are left will also start soon so that basic facilities can be provided to the people. He assured the people of the Panchayat that the pace of development will continue in the Panchayat in the coming days too.
Among those who were present included Pyare Lal, Sarpanch of Gandali Panchayat, Panch Pawan Singh, Panch Somnath, Harjinder Singh, Darshan Singh, Amar Singh Charak, Panch Satya Devi and former Deputy Sarpanch Parsottam Saini.
