| Sawhney announces Rs. 19.20 lakh for additional construction of Sarai in SMGS hospital | | | JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 08 - MLA Mr. Yogesh Sawhney today convened a meeting with officers of Govt. Medical College to review the various ongoing development works of the hospitals. Among others, Medical Superintendent Dr. Yash Paul Sharma and other senior officers of Government Medical College were present on the occasion. During the meeting, Dr. Yash apprised the MLA regarding the increase workload of the hospital and urgent requirement of Sarai within the premises of the Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh Hospital. He also informed that the waiting hall which was constructed in the hospital has become over crowded, need to construct more construction of Sarai on first floor. He apprised that the estimated cost for the purpose be ready. Deliberating on the proposed plan, Mr. Sawhney announced Rs. 19.20 lakh out of his constituency development fund for the construction of Sarai on the first floor of the hospital. He asked the engineers to carry out some minor changes in the proposed plan so as to accommodate three special rooms, attendants’ room and two dormitories in addition to other facilities. The matter pertaining to construction of 200-beded Pediatrics block by JKPCC, completion of work of drinking water point and renovation of blood bank were also discussed in the meeting. The Executive Engineer (R&B), DGM JKPCC were directed to expedite the works for their completion in stipulated time frame.
