Security forces today claimed to have apprehended two Over Ground Workers of Hizbul Mujahideen in general area of Pattan in a joint operation.
Police sources said that it has apprehended two Over Ground Workers of Hizbul Mujahideen in general area of pattan in a joint operation with 29RR during early hours today in response to a tip off.
Giving details, police said that as soon as it received information about presence of some militants, it along with the cops of army rushed to the place and laid a cordon and apprehended two OGWs and arms and ammunition.
They were identified as Shabir Ahmad Sheikh, son of Ghulam Mohammad, resident of Bonpora Wagub Sopore and Hilal Ahmad Hurrah, son of Mohammad Subhan, resident of Punchpora Krankshiva Sopore.
The arms recovered from the spot included one 7.62 mm Pistol, one Pistol Magazine and four Pistol rounds were recovered from the possession of Shabir Ahmad Sheikh, son of Ghulam Mohammad, resident of Bonpora Wagub Sopore. Police has registered a case in this regard. |
