After thrice being delayed, the talks between the Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangharsh Samiti and the Governor’s four-member panel though finally kicked off late in the evening, but the ‘Maha Rally’, in any case, is being held here tomorrow as a massive show of strength. The arrangement for the tremendous ‘Maha-Rally’ organized by “Shri Amarnath Sangarsh Samiti” at Maulana Azad Stadium are going in full. The workers engaged with the job are giving final touches so that the rally becomes a big success. As per sources rally will be held as per source and will be held as per the sources and will decide future course and will decide future course of action to be adopted by the Sangarsh Samiti. Earlier in the day, Sangarsh Samiti convener, Leela Karan Sharma, said, maha rally will have no effect on the talks going to take place here this evening. Sharma in a formal chat said, if land is resorted by the government the rally will be celebrated as a victory for the peace loving people of the state, who thick and thin supported the agitation for the reallocation of land to Shrine Board. The rally which is going to start at 11 AM is expected to be attended by over six lakhs. A active worker of the Samiti, Vikram said, all the arrangements are going in a proper manner and added people from Banihal to Lakhanpur and Kishtwar to Poonch are participating in the rally. From outside the state noted religious leaders and sadhus from various peeths are expected to address the maha rally of Shiv-Bhagats. The Deputy Commissioner Dr. M.K. Bhandari while talking to this reporter said, all the arrangements are made by Sangarsh Samiti, and administration has no hand in it, and added there is no signal from the district administration to Samiti to hold rally at the stadium. Precautionary measures for the safety of people is more important, as there are inputs about the presence of ultras in and around districts Jammu. Earlier, the rally was to be held on August 27, but was put off on owing to terror strike in the out-skirts of the city near Chinore, and such was re-scheduled, for Sunday, i.e August 31, 2008. |
