Thousands of people awaiting for the logical and positive outcome of the dialogue between the government and the Sangarsh Samiti on restoration of land to SASB today organized a jubilant victory show after hearing about the signing of an agreement on the land row. Dancing on the ‘dhol’ beats, bursting crackers, people were seen wishing to their relatives, friends and the neighbors from early Sunday morning.
A victory rally was taken out late in the evening which passed through various markets and concluded at Gole Market. People in large numbers were raising ‘Bam Bam Bhole’ and ‘Har Har Mahadev’ slogans echoing the entire area .Late in the evening people, mostly young ones, coming out from different lanes fired crackers in the sky and also prepared sweet dish (halwa) and distributed it among the residents of locality and also arranged ‘langars’ ".People also visited the religious places especially to the famous Davika Ap Shambu temple and offered prayers
Addressing a huge gathering Vikram Slathia District Convenor of Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangarsh Samiti terming the decision of revocation of land order as historical victory for Jammuties. He also appreciated the support of locals to the agitation and appealed them to open their business establishments from tomorrow. |
