Panun Kashmir hails historic victory of the nationalist forces led by the Sangarsh Samiti to restore the sacred land of the Shri Amarnath. Dr. Agnishekhar, in a meeting, termed it as the victory of the people of Jammu and said that it is an epoch making event in the history of the sub continent that would strengthen the Indian nation as a whole. Dr. Agnishekhar congratulated the able leadership of the Sangarsh Samiti and also the intelligentsia of Jammu in spearheading the movement to its logical conclusion. The victory of the peoples’ movement is a blow to the secessionist forces who tried there level best to sabotage the agitation. The present movement has sent a strong message to Geelanis , Mehbbobas and Omars that the nationalist people of this country would never compromise on their principles. Members present in the meeting paid rich tributes to the Martyrs who laid down their lives for the cause of the nation. The victory of this movement has sent clear signals that the people of this country would not tolerate anti nationals be that in any garb. All along this movement the antinational forces used all the tactics of blackmail and threats to sabotage our struggle but the nationalist forces remained steadfast in their resolve and attained victory, Agnishekha said. The gathering termed it as the victory of the secularism over rabid communalism practiced across the valley. It has become clear that Shri Amarnath land row was used as a tactic to further their antinational agenda, the meeting observed. Daya Kishen said that the ‘Muzzfarabad chalo’ drama seemingly enacted to bring back trained militants from Pakistan who were waiting to sneak into India. This agenda of PDP had become clear in the RTC itself where their single point agenda was to bring back the militants and rehabilitate them. Panun Kashmir appeals to the Sangarsh Samiti to raise a glorious memorial in the memory of the Martyrs of this agitation who laid down their precious lives for the cause and also observe August 31 as ‘Jammu Vijay Divas’. Members asked all the units of Panun Kashmir in India and abroad to celebrate the people’s victory and prepare themselves for the ultimate aim of achieving a separate homeland in Kashmir on the north east of river Jhelum with union territory status and free flow of Indian constitution. The meeting was attended, among others, by Shandilya S Lal, Bal Ji Maratta, Pran Koul, Ravi Mahaldar, Vinod Koul, Ashish and Virender Raina. |
