Today as soon as the news of land issue settled and people of Parade area came to know that the decision was given in favour of the Jammuites they early in the morning took to the street with the musical instruments in their hands. They even did not care about the curfew imposed by the authorities and crossed the barbed wire laid by the security forces. Police immediately took into the action and arrested two persons. They were beaten by the in charge police post Parade Deepanker ruthlessly this made the others berserk and they started stone pelting on the police. Police also retaliated and fired the tear gas shells on the people. The ding dong battle continued for about six hours and it was only after the intervention of senior police officers the matter was solved and both the youths were released.
