A Veer Naris (War Widows) meet was organized by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under the aegis of 13 Sector RR, Romeo Force at Thanamandi, today.
The objective of the meet was to address and redress the grievances of Veer Naris grievances, whose husbands had made the supreme sacrifices. Nearly 200 women including Veer Naris and wives of serving soldiers attended the meet.
Commander, 13 Sector Rashtriya Rifles addressing the gathering enumerated the measures taken by the government for the welfare of the Veer Naris.
To attend the grievances of the Veer Naris, the representative of civil administration and officials of the Rashtriya Rifles Battalion were present in the function. They interacted with the Veer Naris and advised them to avail the facility of medical facilities from Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme, Canteen Smart Card and their welfare scheme so that the requisite benefits can accrue to them and dependents. |
