| Governor reviews supply of essential commodities, utility services during Ramadan | | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | Aug 31
Governor, N N Vohra, today reviewed the stock and supply position of various commodities in the Kashmir Valley and asked the Divisional Administration to ensure uninterrupted flow of supplies and various public utility services, especially during the ensuing holy month of Holy Ramadan. The Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Masud Samoon, briefed the Governor about the measures taken in this regard and assured that the field agencies at all levels have been fully geared to ensure availability of essential commodities to the people. Vohra impressed upon the Administration to make all out efforts for ensuring uninterrupted water and power supply, particularly during the Iftaar and Sehri. He said that rations, sugar, kerosene oil, LPG etc must be moved to public distribution outlets across the Valley so that the consumers do not face any problems. He asked the Divisional Commissioner and all the Deputy Commissioners to personally monitor the availability of supplies and their movement to the public distribution outlets and provision of other utility services during this holy month. |
