Weeklong CHILDLINE Se Dosti week concludes

Jammu, Nov 21: CHILDLINE’s Jammu week long CHILDLINE Se Dosti week was ended with valedictory function at Vidaan Public school, an informal free school for slum children at Janipur Colony. During the daylong event various activities were performed with the children.
Children dances on the tune of patriotic and Bollywood songs. Children were aware about the CHILDLINE and 1098 number and its functioning. They were also informed that CHILDLINE is the only child helpline runs all over the country 24*7. Earlier to this CHILDLINE Kicked off its week with a rally on Child abuse and rights at Amm Gharota. Beside this a special Plantation Drive, Drawing competition, awareness on personnel hygiene and menstrual hygiene was also conducted. Special awareness activities were also conducted with the inmates of Child care institutions.
The main focus was laid down on COVID- 19 and SOPs issued by Government of India. The participants were aware about hand washing, use of hand Sanitizers, soaps, face masks and importance of Social distancing norms for the protection against COVID- 19. The purpose behind the celebration of CHILDLINE Se Dosti week is to aware the various allied partners of CHILDLINE Jammu, general masses , specially children about CHILDLINE services so that one can approach CHILDLINE during difficult circumstances. The entire activities were conducted under the supervision and able guidance of Prof. Kulwant Singh, Nodal director/HOD, Department of Law, University of Jammu and Ajay Sallan, (KAS) District Social Welfare /collaboration Director CHILDLINE Jammu. The whole events were coordinated by Rohit Khajuria city coordinator, Pinky Jain centre Coordinator and whole CHILDLINE Team.
