| Subedar Major dies in mysterious circumstances | | | Sarita Jamwal

A Subedar Major haling from Udhampur died under mysterious circumstances at RT unit Davidali at Nasik in Maharashtra . The deceased has been identified as Yog Raj son of Khushi Ram resident of Sail Jatta.
According to the family members the deceased died due to harassment by the higher officers who were forcing the deceased to indulge in corrupt practices which was not acceptable to him. Father of deceased said that his son had disclosed all this during his visit to home few days back.
He added that his son who returned back to his unit only few days back became the victim of the army officer’s harassment and demanded probe into the mysterious death. On his demand the Deputy Commissioner had directed the CMO to conduct a fresh postmortem through a team of doctors.
After conducting a fresh postmortem, the report of which was still awaited, the body was handed over to the family members for performing last rites.
However, the army has denied allegations and said that deceased had committed suicide. |
