Shiv Sena extends financial assistance of Rs 4.90 lakhs to needy

REASI, Nov 25: Shiv Sena Bala Saheb Thackeray, Reasi unit of Jammu and Kashmir, today provided relief of Rs 4.90 lakhs to one Manzoor Ahmed, who had lost his livestock including his residence due to land sliding on August 24, 2020.
Briefing the media persons, Party President Manish Sahni said that Manzoor Ahmad, a resident of Chasana of District Reasi, approached the Shiv Sena's Reasi's Grievance and Assistance Center and requested for help. Following the complaint, the team constituted under the chairmanship of District Reasi chief Bhuri Singh who has taken the matter with the Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Indu Kanwal Chib and apprised her about the problems being faced by Manzoor Ahmed and requested her for releasing relief amount immediately. The Deputy Commissioner, justifying the case, directed the authorities concerned to immediately release a relief amount of Rs 4.90 lakh, Sahni said, adding that he had written a written request to the administration with full details about the compensation. Sahni expressed gratitude to the DC Reasi for his prompt relief for providing relief to the poor, who are homeless due to natural calamity. He emphasized that if all the top officers shall work like the DC Reasi then the claim of Manoj Sinha, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, to make a better and corruption free Jammu and Kashmir can be realized.
