SSP demands resolve problems of non migrants

JAMMU, Nov 25: Colonel SS Pathania, President Sainik Samaj Party, JKUT urged LG and Union Government to show genuine empathy and compassion, to resolve the problems of non migrants.
Kashmiri Pandits of Kashmir, on priority. Kashmiri Pandits, who were less percent of the total population in 1947 ' were reduced to 5 percent in 1981, through continuous oppression and exploitation by fundamentalist duly supported by radicalized politicians of Kashmir. Today, the total strength of Hindu Kashmiri stands at 3300 appropriately, comprising of 808 families, spread across 242 locations. These men' women and children have shown unprecedented courage, determination and resolve, against all odds and managed to hang on, and faced the oppression, atrocities and hostilities, with a great spirit, for last 30 years' Kashmiri Pandits Sangarsh Samiti, under the leadership of Sanjay Tickoo, Sandeep Kaul and other members, has started their second phase of fast unto death, about three days back. In first phase, honorable governor had assured them, that their demands will be met and a final meeting will be held within a week' However after more than 50 days, when no development took place on the subject, Kashmiri Pandits Sangarsh Samiti, had no option, but to go for phase 2, of Fast unto death.
