The reports of the hailing the agreement reached between the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board and governor’s panel headed by Dr. S.S. Baloria are still postponing in the office of Early Times also. Former governor of the state, Dr. Karan Singh in a statement has said, that it is a welcome relief after a many weeks of turmoil and agitation. He has appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to accept the agreement in a god grace. He said steps should be taken on right direction and bring back normal life on rails. He said tourism has suffered a lot, as during the period, now tourist both domestic and foreign should be attracted to enjoy autumn tourism season in Kashmir valley. Similarly special measures will need to be taken to help students to overcome backlog. The J&K Dharmarth Trust Council hailing the agreement hold special pooja in the premises of Sri Raghunath Temple. Divakar Singh lauded the efforts of Leela Karan Sharma, Brig. Suchet Singh and other members in handling the land issue. A two minutes silence was observed in memory of those who laid their lives for the cause. Pradesh Congress Committee workers in a statement have welcomed the efforts of prime minister, Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi in resolving amicably solution in accordance with the religious aspirations of the people and in keeping with large interest of the state. Congress leaders also appreciated the role played by all right thinking and positive forces for the resolution of the issue. The leaders who welcomed the agreement are Yashpaul Khajuria, Dharampal Singh, Th. Hari Singh, S. Gurmukh Singh, Anil Chopra, Suram Chand, Shonku Ram, Sham Lal Sharma, Vijay Laxmi, Neelam, B.B. Gupta, Raj Bakshi, Prem Lata Bakshi,Ram Malhotra, Jagan Nath, Sita, Devi, Vinay Padha and Gandharav Singh etc etc. Sangram Sena while hailing the agreement its president Ram Rattan said, Sena extend its full support to Shri Amarnath Sangarsh Samiti in its further programmes for the betterment of the Jammu region. Workers of Sena performed bhangara dance and distributed sweets on the occasion. Jammu Kashmir Milchar Front along with All India Kissan Sabha and Awami Jan Shakti Party hailed the accord and expressed gratitude to Jammu people, irrespective of caste, creed and religion in making the agitation a successful. They also urged upon the government to take stern action against the anti-social elements who are bent upon to disturbes the peaceful atmosphere of the state. The Jat Kalyan Sabha in a executive members chaired by Kamal Singh hailed accord and congratulated the Jammu people in achieving the goal peacefully. He expressed his gratitude to traders and transporters who extend their full support to the cause jointly launched by Sikhs, Muslims, Christians and Hindus of the region. Maharishi Valmiki Mata Chabrri Sant Samaj of Gandhi Nagar congratulated all the peoples of the region in re-allocating land to Shrine Board. Babu Kuka Ram and Rajinder Kumar Valmiki on the occasion said, Valmiki Samaj will never forget those persons who sacrifice their lives for the noble cause, and prayed to god to grant peace to the departed souls, who made supreme sacrifice during the agitation. |
