| Nadroo on 1800 kanals damaged | | Manjit visits Khushalsar, other flood affected Srinagar areas | | SRINAGAR, September 08 -Minister of State for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution and School Education, S. Manjit Singh today visited various flood affected areas of Srinagar city and took stock of the damages occurred due to flood. The areas include Khushalsar, Anchar, Shalbab mohalla etc. The Assistant Commissioner Revenue who accompanied the Minister informed that the crop of “Nadroo” over 1800 kanal in Khushalsar and Anchar lakes have got damaged due to deposition of slure, submergence and stagnation of flood water. The Minister directed Revenue authorities to assess the losses and prepare reports to be submitted for disbursement of relief to the cultivators. While interacting with the people in these areas, the Minister said that the government is aware of their problems and relief and rehabilitation measures are afoot. He assured them that affected people would be provided relief for the losses caused to their property and crops. Minister was also accompanied by the Carporator Mr. Muneer Sadiq, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Mr. Mushtaq Malik and officers of Revenue department during his tour.
