HC notice in contempt petition

Justice JP Singh of J&K High Court, Jammu Wing, in a contempt petition filed by a couple, who married without the consent of the parents of the girl, against the SSP Rajouri and SHO Darhal Malikan District Rajouri, issued notice to show cause as to why contempt proceedings be not initiated against them and directed Registrar Judicial to inform the respondents through fax.
In the contempt petition filed through Adv AM Malik it has been submitted that the petitioner made a statement before the Court that she got married to respondent No 2 on September 22, 2007 on her own free will but against the wishes of her parents and therefore they are now interfering in their martial life. Both of them have threat perception at the hands of the parents and other relatives including two PSOs of Ex-MLA Abdul Majid Wani of Doda and are as such seeking proper protection. JNF
