| Grewal blames UPA for Kashmir problem | | | Jaitu | Sep 1
Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal, Punjab State Chief, BJP Investor Cell Tuesday stated that Congress led UPA Government lacks vision and leadership to evolve a permanent and path breaking solution to the Jammu and Kashmir problem.
Grewal came here to bestow remembrance to famous Poet and Writer Professor Rupinder Mann on his Bhog.
Speaking at a Press Conference in Jaitu, he affirmed that separatist forces of Jammu and Kashmir have carefully executed the designs of their Masters in Pakistan. The quiescent State Governments of National Conference, Congress and PDP could not envisage the multi-pronged attack on Jammu and Kashmir by the Pakistan in these last 2 decades. The Pakistan ISI design was to terrorize Kashmiri Pandits and Buddhists so as they should leave Kashmir Valley, demoralize and weaken Indian Army as they will be asked to restrain, polarize Kashmiri Muslim against Non Muslims, and to pressurize Government of India through International Community on the name of UN Resolution or alleged Human Rights violation etc. Pakistan ISI got formidable success in creating ruckus in Jammu and Kashmir only because of poor aptitude of the successive State Government and the current Congress led UPA Government.
In the absence of any State Government, UPA Government should have ordered military to rout the last admirer of separatism, ensured Resettlement and Rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits, Buddhists and Sikhs so as “Sufiana” composite culture of Kashmir could be re-established wherein Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists could co-exist in the atmosphere of love and brotherhood; Government of India should have utilized its clout in International Community so as they could send their advisories to Pakistan to make a point that Pakistan should refrain from promoting terrorism against India.
Grewal aggrieved that it would be impossible for an Italian ruler, Edvige Antonia Albina Maino alias Sonia Gandhi, to understand historical ties of Kashmir with Hindus and added that name “Kashmir” is derived from ka (the water) and shimeera (to desiccate), so the word Kashmir implies land desiccated from water as it was founded by Saptrishi Kashyapa (grandson of Brahma) when he drained a lake lying north of the Pir Panjal Range by cutting the mountain near Varamulla.
