GDC Vijaypur organizes online poster making, slogan writing competition

SAMBA, Dec 1: To commemorate "World AIDS Day", GDC Vijaypur organized a National level Online Poster making and Slogan writing competition on the same theme. Talat Parvez Rohella, Commissioner/Secretary, Higher Education Department, UT of J&K was the patron of the competition.
In poster making competition, the first position was secured by Seema Thakur of GCW Gandhi Nagar Jammu, the second position was secured by Tejinderpal Singh of GDC Vijaypur and the third position was shared by Ashish Chouhan, DCRUST University, Delhi- NCR and Sheetal of GDC Vijaypur. The consolation prize was shared by Manreen Kour and Tanu Magotra of GDC Vijaypur. In the Slogan writing competition, the first position was secured by Simran Bhalla of GDC Vijaypur, the second position was secured by Neha Kangla of GCW Gandhi Nagar, Jammu and the third position was secured by Jasvinder Singh of GDC Vijaypur. The consolation prize was secured by Vinod Kangla of GDC Vijaypur. The event was co-coordinated by Dr Ruchi. The organizing committee comprised of Renuka Kundal and Sonia Bhagat.
Dr Sangeeta Sudan, Principal of the College while thanking all the participants for submitting their innovative entries and for making the event successful, impressed upon the students to inculcate hygienic attitude in their lifestyle as Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is a chronic, potentially life threatening condition caused by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) that targets the immune system and weakens people's defense against many infections.
