Jammu, Dec 3: Mayor JMC Chandermohan Gupta of Jammu City and Ward Councillor Ward No 29 and Guidance of Commissioner Avny lavasa (IAS), JCA Ashish Kumar Gupta, Secretary JMC/Nodal officer SBM Tina Mahajan, organized a Nukkad Natak.
The need and importance of Solid waste Management was described through street play where a lot of people participated and laid their views. The Street play (Nukkad Natak) was presented by Natmanch. Discussion about segregation of solid waste and the role of solid waste management in enhancing economy is held.
Citizens expressed their joy and participated in huge numbers.
At the end, participants take pledge to implement the message of segregation of solid waste at their household so that better solid waste management takes place at Jammu city.
They were also awared about the initiation of Jammu Municipal Corporation of resolving their grievances at door step by installing Swacch App. At the end, Mayor concluded the street play by thanking the participants and encouraged participants to follow the message of SWM at their own level.
