Secretary Power of GoI visits Subansiri Lower HE Project

JAMMU, Dec 5: Secretary (Power), Government of India, Sanjiv Nandan Sahai visited NHPC's Subansiri Lower HE Project to review the ongoing construction activities at different sites of the Project. During the visit Secretary (Power) was accompanied by Shri Naresh Kumar, Chief Secretary, Govt of Arunachal Pradesh, A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC, Tanmay Kumar, Joint Secretary (Hydro), Ministry of Power, Government of India, P.S. Lokhande, Commissioner (Power), Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh and Ratish Kumar, Director (Projects) NHPC.
On his arrival at the project, Secretary (Power) alongwith other dignitaries was accorded welcome by Ratish Kumar, Director (Projects) NHPC and Vipin Gupta, General Manager (I/c) Subansiri Lower Project. Secretary (Power) was accorded Guard of Honor by the CISF Unit, Subansiri Lower HE Project. Earlier, on their arrival at Mohanbari Airport, Dibrugarh on 3rd December 2020, Secretary (Power) and other dignitaries were received by Arvind Bhat, Executive Director, SLHEP. Secretary (Power) visited all the sites of the Project and took stock of the progress of ongoing construction activities. Representatives of major work contractors also briefed about the quantum of construction activities at individual fronts. He also inaugurated the re-start of Power House works.
