Secretary RDD attends workshop on ‘Placement process, challenges & best practices in Himayat-DDUGKY’

JAMMU, Dec 5: Secretary Rural Development Department & Panchayati Raj, Sheetal Nanda, today attended workshop on ‘Placement process, challenges & best practices’ organized by NABARD Consultancy Services (NABCONS) J&K and Himayat Mission Management Unit (JKRLM).
The capacity building workshop was participated by over 100 participants from various Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs), apart from officials from Department of Himayat JKRLM, NABARD and other officials associated with Himayat-DDUGKY scheme in Jammu and Kashmir.
The objective of the workshop was to understand the ‘Placement tracking management, career progression and retention including challenges & best practices’, in the context of Himayat-DDUGKY scheme in the UTs of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh.
Secretary expressed gratitude towards NABCONS for organizing the workshop and complimented the Shahi exports for practices being followed by them with respect to placement which is the ultimate aim of the programme. She also instructed the PIAs for timely updation of data so the actual progress of the programme is reflected.
Secretary stressed on adopting proactive approach towards enabling unemployed youth to face all impending challenges of present competitive world and live a better life.
Chief Operating Officer, Himayat Mission Management Unit (HMMU), Kapil Sharma, stated that today's workshop has been organized with an intention to provide an opportunity to training partners to get the experience from better performing PIAs at country level. He stressed on putting more efforts on placement front and continue to perform much better. He also spoke over the placement challenges and best practices beneficial for Himayat-DDU GKY scheme.
Chief General Manager National Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), R.K Srivastava, presented the overall view of skilling ecosystem in India and also highlighted NABARD's technical assistance in making the Central Government Schemes successful across the country especially in the UTs of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh.
Subject Matter Expert, National Head Shahi Exports, Anjani Mishra, shared the best practices adopted by them as a training partner in implementation of scheme with respect to placement of candidates.
Other speakers and subject experts from NABARD Consultancy Services (NABCONS), covered several vital topics like ‘Placement tracking management, career progression and retention support for Project Implementing Agencies.
